Ever since i was a little girl, I have always loved school! I loved spending time in my mother's classroom, and I especially loved back-to-school time and brand new crayons. It was a given for me that after graduating from Lockesburg High School in 1996 that I would pursue a career in teaching. I attended Henderson State University where I earned my BSE in elementary education in 2000. That fall, I began my teaching career in fifth grade at De Queen Elementary. Because I wanted to help my students succeed at and learn to love reading, I pursued my MSE as a Reading Specialist. I also attended the English as a Second Language Academy to better help our population of ESL students here at De Queen. This year I am completing my fourteenth year as a public school teacher.
Teaching, along with my faith and my family are my loves. I consider it an honor to be a part of your child's education.
